Petri In his new home :) he fit in so well and gets along with the whole family :)
Draco and Mylo - Budgies
It has been fun week...kids are loving the birds...they are doing
great...it has been interesting when the kids try to feed by hand...if
one is getting more than the other...the other will sneak over & try to
take more....they definitely act like siblings...when the kids are at
the opposite ends of the house....the birds will chirp back and forth as
if they are trying to find each other...they seem to have settled in
really well...they enjoy hitching a ride on shoulders throughout the
house….
you have done a great job raising them...their
personalities are amazing & so fun to work with....
Thanks again....we will keep in touch....

Joey - Budgie
Hi Michele
Just thought you might like to know how Joey is making out in his new home. Eating has not been a problem and between his new cage, two play structures (one home made), and a coconut hut, life is good. Check out the pictures and see for yourself.
Thanks again!

Jack - Green cheek conure
Hi Michele!
We love Jack! :) He is very entertaining.....and he has a little daily routine of his own....he definately knows his name, and he knows his way around our apartment. If I call him from my bedroom or the bathroom, he will come to find me. And he loves to sit and watch our little cage of Finches, so I got him a perch attachment for the top of their cage. I got him a little "bird playground" to sit on and have treats on that I can move around wherever I am so that he's not always on my head or shoulders...lol We have little games that we play with him and he gets so excited....lol He loves to be "tickled" under his wing, and when I do that and say "tickle tickle Jack!" he spreads that one wing and rubs his head on me and chirps! And when he's on our shoulders, we run our fingers up our arms as if to chase him and he runs back and forth and will stop and put one leg up as if to block us. If we stop, he squawks until we do it again and he bobs his head up and down while he squawks. And he likes to have his belly rubbed....laying on his back in your hand.....feet up....lol And he loves to have his head and beak rubbed as well, and will fall asleep while we do it! He has decided that his bedtime is between 7:30-8 PM. No matter what's going on, he will go to his cage at that time and go into his blue fuzzy Happy Hut for the night. We say "goodnight Jack!" and he will chirp at us from in there....lol

Tula
I have named "her" Tula. She is the most affectionate and tame little bird I have ever met. All she wants is to be with me. Whenever I am home, she either is tucked into my shirt somewhere or riding on my shoulders. So far, with clicker training, she has mastered "step up", "fly" and we are working on playing dead and waving.
Our first day she ate millet out of my hand and ate by herself from her food dish, so I was thrilled. I didn't hear a peep from her for about 3 days but now she likes to make some noise, especially when The Big Bang Theory is on tv haha.
I've tried a few new foods; eggplant (cooked), sweet potato (cooked), lettuce, carrot, plum and apple. Nothing seems to get her as excited as the millet. This week I'll try banana and kiwi.
Thanks again and if you have any tips to getting lovebirds to eat different foods, I would really appreciate it.
Sincerely
Lisa

Tommy
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I own Tommy- a peach faced son of Coral and Nemo I bought in December 2010. A little brother to my Female Cockatiel Daphne (RIP), and a big (smaller) brother to my Green Quaker, Albie.
I am a teacher in the high arctic, so my little Tommy has been a frequent flier for three years. I never worry about him in the plane, because he charms all the Air Inuit workers.
I just wanted to thank you for breeding and selling me a fantastic, healthy, show-quality companion. I would not be the same without him.
